Unlike inspections by humans, bed bug sniffing dogs can inspect about 10 rooms per hour. And they do this without tearing the rooms apart. So, if no bugs are detected, you won’t have to pay your staff to clean the room again. If you are a large hotel or facility, figure on a rate of about 80-100 rooms per day.
Bed bug dogs are 97% accurate versus human inspectors that are only 30-40% accurate. While humans must rely on visual contact, dogs are able to scent even the tiniest bed bug that is hidden out of sight.
